35 weeks, only 35 more days to go!!

With only 5 weeks left till her due date, Randy and I are trying to get everything finished and put away. Her room is coming together nicely and all her clothes, blankets, and bottles should be washed by the weekend.

I believe there is now a a giant watermelon in there.

Those stretch marks are really starting to come in. Guess I will keep rubbing cocoa butter on my belly.

Yesterday I had my 35 week check up and everything is looking good. Baby Aubrey is measuring exactly where she is suppose to be and her heart rate sounds great. At resting it was 141 bpm and when the doctor pushed on her to kick it went up to 161 bpm. I now start going every week for check ups and they will also check to see if I have started to dialate (how crazy is that?). Those Braxton Hicks Contractions continue to get stronger and a little more painful as each week goes by, yet it doesn't seem to bother me since I know the real contractions will be ten times worse.

Baby Shower

This past Saturday Randy and I had our couples baby shower. It was so much fun to spend time with friends and family to celebrate such a wonderful occasion. We got lots of clothes for the baby, some baby bottles, a piggy bank, tons of blankets, toys some diapers and dont forget a travel system stroller from my parents. We still need to get a few items that we will need but I figure with all the gift cards we got we can use them to buy it. Watching all the guys play the games was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen.

Some of the guys played pregnant for a day and had to tie their shoes without lifting their foot off the ground and without popping their balloon that was placed under their shirts. Of course my husband was the only one who popped his balloon. We also played a diaper game where everyone had to smell the diaper and guess which melted candy bar it was. The last game we played was called "winner gets all" people put spare change in a jar and had to guess how much was in it at the end of the shower, and the person who guessed closest without going over got "all". However, the "all" wasn't actually the money but instead and bottle of ALL laundry detergent. It was so funny to see everyones face.

34 weeks... Is it Saturday yet?

Everything seems to being moving along smoothly at the moment. Still having those painful Braxton Hicks Contractions and my back pain has yet to go away. I have now come to terms that it will be here for the last 6 weeks no matter what I try and do. My belly is huge and I don't really think it can get any bigger but I still have a month and a half till my due date so I am curious to see how big it will actually get. As for bending forward that is a no go now a days. Anything that gets dropped on the floor has to wait till Randy gets home to pick it up and getting off the couch has turned into a huge ordeal for me. If no one is around me it takes me awhile to get up but if someone is there I can get a little help with a push. haha

I can't wait till Saturday, because that means it's the baby shower. Randy and I are super excited to see all of our family and friends play some of the ridicules games, espically all of Randy's guy friends. It should be a blast and I also can't wait to see what little Aubrey gets. Now that the shower is just a few days away it is really setting in that Aubrey is going to be here before we know it.

33 weeks and were feelin the pain

Is there really any more room for her to grow?

Went to another doctors appointment yesterday and everything is looking good. Aubrey measured at 32 weeks which is right on target, and she is still head down. I would know since I get those lovely kicks in my ribs. Her heart rate was between 135-140 which is still doing well. However I did find out that my doctor will be out of town for Thanksgiving which means if I do go into labor at that time he will not be delivering her. :( I tried to convince him to induce before he leaves but that was a no go.

I've had Braxton Hicks contractions for some time now but lately they have become more noticeable and a little more painful. I guess that's my body telling me that we only have 7 more weeks till this little one is ready to come out. Yet my back pain is a whole other story, no matter what I do I just can't get rid of it. Poor Randy has to watch me suffer and there is nothing he can do for me. On the brighter side were having the baby shower next Saturday and that should be a lot of fun since it is couples themed!

Hospital Tour

Yesterday Randy, my mom, Teagan and I went to the hospital and did the tour around the maternity ward. Man has that place changed a lot since both Teagan and Dakota were born. The rooms are huge that you deliver the baby in and the room you stay in afterwards are also huge. I guess it's kind of a good thing depending on how many people you want in the delivery room with you. With all the information that the nurse gave us I am super excited and can't wait till our little Aubrey is here.

Randy seemed to enjoy the tour as well, I'm just glad he now knows where to take me when it is time. I was afraid he might take me up to the cardiac ward or some other place in the hospital because of all the excitement or nervousness. Teagan also seemed to really enjoy being there with us. She told me that she wasn't worried about where I was staying but how they were going to treat me and how I would feel. She so badly wants to be in the delivery room with us but I don't really think it is very appropriate for a 7 year old to be in there.

All in all I would have to say that yesterday was a very good day, and that Randy and I can't wait till it's officially time and we can have our little princess with us.

We are now at 32 weeks with only 8 more weeks to go. Holy cow, has this pregnancy flown by or what? Randy and I can't believe how close the due date is and we are starting to get anxious about the arrival of Aubrey. Everything is going well with the exception of my emotional roller coaster. I never once thought I would cry at the drop of a dime, but it seems like lately even the littlest things bring tears to my eyes.
