Messy Faces

Now that Aubrey is feeding herself breakfast, lunch and dinner we are bound to get a messy face. Thank goodness I am not one of those people who freak out over their child being dirty. However, if I was we would be in major trouble or Aubrey wouldn't be able to eat things that make her dirty.

So today for breakfast we gave her chocolate chip waffles, yes you read that right. On the menu for dinner was lasagna, garlic bread and green beans. Boy oh boy were those two of the messiest things we have given her thus far. Because they were so messy I thought it was the perfect time for fun pictures.
She gobbled up the waffles

All done

Big smiles after her lasagna dinner

SO BIG

My mom does this thing with all of her grand kids and I think Aubrey is the youngest to actually do it by herself. You ask "How big is (insert child''s name)" and they respond by putting their hands up in the air and you say "SO BIG". Well we started this with Aubrey really early and now she does it on her own. Sometimes you don't even have to ask the question, she just puts her hands in the air.

8 months old today!

Today my sweet little girl is 8 months old!!! I can't believe another month has come and gone, and we are just 4 months short of being a year old. I don't think I am ready for this little girl to be a toddler yet. I want my baby to be a baby for a little while longer. Aubrey has not started to crawl yet even though I try on a daily basis. We have even tried to bribe her with snacks as a reward, but she does not seem interested. I am not to terribly concerned with this because I know once she is on the move I will be on trouble.

Aubrey is still doing good on her solid foods. She has tried everything in the jar category and we have given her lots of our food as well. She eats a whole jar of fruit in the morning and a whole jar of veggies in the afternoon, along with taking in at least 30 oz of formula. We for sure know this kid is not starving. We still do not have any teeth yet either, but I know they have to be coming in soon. She is a little more fussy than normal and her naps during the day are all thrown off.
Wont sleep with anything else but her little sea horse

All smiles because she knows she is 8 months old

Look at me!!

She can stand up in her crib like a big girl now!
