Silverwood Theme Park

We took the nice 7 hour drive to Idaho where we stayed in a cabin on the lake for a week. It was such a long drive but well worth it and Aubrey did so well. There was a total of 10 of us that drove across state lines just so we could go to Silverwood Theme Park. We spent a total of 3 days at Silverwood and it was really a sight to see, with 6 adults, 3 kids and a baby. Thankfully we had a full time babysitter when we did the rides. My mom doesn't like rides so she sat with Aubrey while we went on all the thrills, chills and excitement we could.

There is a wonderful train ride that takes you through the park and they have the most entertaining gun show while on the train. We even managed to take in a magic show with some loud noises and cool effects. Yet the most exciting was all the rides and Boulder Beach the water park. Dakota the youngest (6 years old) surprised us all when she wanted to go on the wooden roller coasters. She even sat in the first car in the very first seat. That little girl had a blast and never once was scared. I couldn't believe me eyes, and the first thing she said to me when we got off was that she wanted to go again. Teagan who is 8 years old did the Panic Plunge with Randy, Laura, Chris and myself. I was really shocked that she did but, it did freak her out a little so she didn't go on any more roller coasters after that. Hennessy who is 10 surprised me too by going on some rides that I didn't think she would ever go on.

Boulder Beach was a lot of fun as well, but it was packed. We were able to go on the new green slide that just opened up along with the big yellow one. We took Aubrey in the wave pool and she didn't so much like that. Let her play in Toddler Springs and that seemed more like her pace. 3 days was definitely a good amount to spend at the park for such a large group. I can't wait till we can go back again. This is the Aftershock, crazy roller coaster that goes forward and then backwards

Our day on the Pontoon Boat

Our last day of vacation was spent out on the Pontoon Boat. We packed everyone up and our lunches and enjoyed a nice day out on the water. Spent a little time fishing and a little time swimming in the lake. It was so nice and sunny outside and to our surprise there wasn't a lot of boats out. We even had a tube on the back of the boat so we could go tubing. Teagan and Dakota went out on the tube with Laura and seemed to really have a good time. Everyone jumped in the water, but my parents, me and Aubrey. lol

First Pedicure

Today Randy, my parents and I went to the nail salon and got pedicures before we leave on our trip. While we were there I asked if they would paint Aubrey's toe nails and of course they did. So at seven and half months our little girl received her very first pedicure.

Growing up so fast!!

The other day Aubrey and I were playing and I thought I would take a video so everyone could see how fast this little girl is growing. She is very smart for her age and this just proves it.

We are still working on opening the doors.

4th of July and 7 months already

We had a very low key 4th of July this year. We simply hung around the house and did nothing. It was so nice to just hang out with family and not worry about anything or anyone. Aubrey had a great day. She got to hang out in the grass, sun bathe, watch everyone play games and even got her very own chicken and noodles (which she loves) We didn't light off any fireworks because I didn't know how Aubrey would react to them and plus everyone had to get up super early for work. So most of us were in bed by 9. haha

Yesterday Aubrey hit 7 months! Where oh where has this time gone? I can't believe that in just 5 short months I will have a 1 year old. For her special day we headed down to Portland to meet with my friend Susan and her son Ted who is 5 days younger than Aubrey. We met up at the Portland Zoo which was a lot of fun. We walked around, took lots of pictures, rode the train and just had a fun filled day. Aubrey is growing so fast I can hardly believe it. She still doesn't have any teeth or hair, but that is okay.

We are still doing baby jar food, but we have been giving her our food as well. She seems to really like any kind of chicken and noodles. If for some reason I don't share she just helps herself to my plate. Her favorites are mashed potatoes, corn with sweet potatoes, mixed veggies, butternut squash, and all of the fruits. We have been giving her snacks through out the day as well and her favorites are the puffs or yogurt melts.

Tummy time has become a rolling match for us. She just can't seem to stay on her back. She is either rolling away from me (when getting her dressed or changing a diaper) or rolling towards me (when I have food). Still no crawling but we do seem rather interested in it. Aubrey just hasn't figured it out yet. She loves standing and jumping. The other day I stood her up in her crib and she was so excited she started moving and wiggling.
