We have a Sitter!!

We have been working on Aubrey sitting up for a few weeks now and finally today it was longer than 15 seconds. Aubrey can sit up and play with her toys for several minutes at a time. However, if something is up high and she would like to look at it then she tilts her head up and ends up falling backwards. Thus is why the picture is from behind her and not infront of her.

Baby Manners 101

After reading this I decided to steal it from my friend Caitlin and post it to my blog.

Due to recent events, I find it necessary to post a few rules about baby manners (mostly for laughs, considering my "followers" are allowed to touch, play, and love on Aubrey all they want). :)

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC - PLEASE REMEMBER:

1. If I do not know you, do not touch my baby.

2. If you've seen me around but do not know my name, do not touch my baby.

3. Even if you have washed your hands, have a baby of your own (or 3 grown children), or feel you are certified in anything having to do with babies, but I do not know you, do not touch my baby.

4. If you are a stranger covered in tattoos and reak of cigarette smoke (even at church), do not touch my baby.

5. If you would like to touch my baby and I do not know you, you can ask but I will tell you, "no."

6. Do not sneak up behind me at church, touch my baby's hands. Then when I move him away, do not come and sit next to me to touch him again. I didn't come to play musical chairs and I don't care if we're in the House of God. I do not know you, please do not touch my baby.

7. If you would not be comfortable with me rubbing your belly, touching your face, or wiggling my fingers in front of your eyes, do not do it to my baby.

8. Even if you are helpful while ringing me up at the grocery store, it does not mean you can touch my baby, so don't.

9. Do not (for any reason!) put your fingers in my baby's mouth! (This one's for you, Hilary!)

10. I know my baby is cute but so am I. ;) You wouldn't come up to me randomly and touch me so don't touch my baby!

Aubrey get's dedicated!

On Sunday Aubrey was dedicated to the lord at church. It was such a beautiful service and she did really great. There was no tears or anything like that. However, she did decided she was going to talk back to the Pastor once he was holding her. She also decided that she was going to play with her feet at the same time. After the service some of our friends and her god parents came over for a brunch. It was such a special day in our family and we are so thankful for everything.

Kirsten and Terry (god parents) bought Aubrey an American Girl Bitty Baby, which is a younger version of the American Girl Doll. It looks just like she does, bald, blue eyes, and fair skin. haha All in all it was a wonderful day, and to top off the night Aubrey slept through the whole night as well.

I took some other pictures of the dedication but these were my favorite.

Mother's Day and Aubrey is 5 months old

As we all know Mother's Day was yesterday and it was my very first one! It was such a great day to spend with Aubrey, Randy and the rest of my family. The day started off great with us going to church. As always Aubrey was a big hit, and everyone wanted to see and hold her. After lunch Randy surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a gift card to get my nails done. Laura, Chris and Teagan came over and all the guys made dinner (steak, baked potatoes, and salad)!! They even topped it off with an amazing strawberry pound cake. It was nice for all the girls to hang out and chat and not have to worry about dinner or dishes. For the rest of the night we just hung out and watched tv.

Today Aubrey is 5 months old! I can't believe another month has come and gone, she is growing up to fast for me. This past week Aubrey has found her feet and now she can't get enough of them. Every time she is on her back that is the first thing she goes for. Were still rolling over from tummy to back but not as often but she has been able to roll from her back to her side but then can't figure out the rest.

She is also learning to sit up on her own. The other day I sat her up and she was able to stay there for about 15 seconds before she started to topple over. Aubrey is really enjoying the solid food she gets. We have tried everything but carrots and pears. Her favorites are Banana's and Apple sauce. She doesn't so much care for Squash or Sweet Potatoe's. We have come to learn that she really doesn't like the oatmeal we were giving her. She cried everytime she ate it, yet she doesn't cry with the fruits or veggies.

Easter

Today is Easter Sunday and we had such an amazing day with the family. It started off with us going to church and Aubrey was all dressed up in a cute yellow and white polka dot dress with a yellow flower to match. Everyone in church just went crazy over here and kept asking to take a picture of her. Needless to say she was a big hit at church.

After we came home Randy's parents and my brother, sister n law and the kids came over. We ate a wonderful dinner and then the kids has an Easter egg hunt. Aubrey got her first egg and found that there was a dollar in it. What a lucky girl she is. After that was over the adults had an egg hunt as well. Lots of neat prizes were to be found. Everyone got to relax and enjoy each other's company. So all in all it was a great day.

Aubrey is 4 month!

My smiling girl waiting for Dr. Sipher to come in.

On the 9th Aubrey turned 4 months. Well today we went in for her check up and man this girl is growing like a weed. She weighs in at 13 lbs and 8 oz, which puts her in the 50% of the group. She is also 25 inches long which puts her in the 75% of the group. Dr. Sipher was very pleased to see how much she has grown and the milestones she is conquering. There is a chart I have to answer for Aubrey and once I get 3 no's I am suppose to stop. Well today when I did it and got the results we found out Aubrey is doing things that a 6 1/2 month old would be doing.

She is becoming very advanced for her age and amazes us each and every day. She also had to get her second round of shots today. However, this did not go as well as I thought it would. She cried and cried and didn't calm down until she was dressed and in her car seat. On a happier note the doctor told us we could start solid foods with her. We are already feeding her oatmeal 2x a day. So we went to Walmart and picked up a bunch of stage 1 foods. We are going to be starting those tomorrow with Squash. Yum!

We are still rolling over from her tummy to her back and recently started making raspberry's with her lips. She has also learned that if she wants something bad enough that she can scoot on her belly to get it. We are in the early stages of crawling!

This was after a long afternoon of watching daddy play football. I don't want anyone to steal my rings so I am going to hold onto them.
