Everything happens for a reason and one should never second guess that reason.

Aubrey's 3 month photo's!

Last week I took Aubrey to get her 3 month photo's done and she did such a great job. She didn't fuss or even cry the entire time we were there and the photographer was able to get lots of good shots. These are the photo's that I ordered and happen to be my favorites.

This one is for Oma because she made the blanket and embroidered the Giraffe for Aubrey.

I love this smile and it just happened to be the very first picture the lady took!

This one is my absolute favorite picture of her.

Aubrey got her ears pierced!

Today I took Aubrey to get her ears pierced! I was a bit nervous as to see how she was going to handle it, but my little girl is such a trooper. The lady pierced her left ear first and no tears, right after she was done piercing her right ear is when the water works started. Thankfully they only lasted about 30 seconds and then she was over it. So I took a couple of pictures to share with everyone!

Right before, I was more nervous than she was (can you tell by my red face?).

At home relaxing sucking on those fingers.
I know those are pink earrings and not Aubrey's birthstone, but I didn't want her to have blue earrings. People already think she is a boy and not a girl.

A Birthday wish for Uncle Cory

Yesterday was my brother Cory's birthday, and since we couldn't be with him to celebrate it Aubrey decided she was going to do a birthday dance for him. We were sitting at the doctor's office with my mom and Randy and Aubrey was showing us how her Uncle Cory dances. I hope everyone gets as much laughs out of this as we did. Enjoy!!

Shake your rumpshaker Uncle Cory!

Aubrey is 3 months!

Aubrey is now 3 months old and boy has this month gone by fast. So much has changed and she is growing like a weed right in front of our eyes. Aubrey is so alert and is constantly talking up a storm to us. She is cooing, smiling, and recently started laughing. It is super cute when she tries to laugh because she has no idea what she is doing but she is starting to figure it out slowly.

Aubrey has finally set herself a routine which makes for a smoother day and a happier mom and dad. We are now getting two naps during the day and a full 10 and half to 11 hours of sleep at night!! This past week has been a bit rough for us due to the fact that Aubrey has started teething. She is a bit fussier than normal in the afternoon, drools like it is no body's business and is constantly sucking on her thumb or fingers.

Sprinkles our cat will bring Aubrey one of her kitty toys to play with if she is on her mat. It is super cute. Sprinkles also will lay or sleep by her swing when she is in too. She is the super protective big kitty sister! Other than that we have a very fun and active day.

Watching my oma make breakfast!
I decided I needed to slide down and relax.
Hello everyone!
I really like tummy time now. I hold my head up so well.

I like to suck my thumb now since I started teething.

Aubrey's two month check up.

Today we went to see Dr. Sipher for Aubrey's two month check up. Everything is looking good and she is growing like a weed. She now weighs a whole 10 pounds or as my dad puts it a bag of potatoes! She is also measuring at 22 inches long, which is an inch and a half longer than what she was when she was born. Unfortunately for Aubrey she had to get 3 shots and an oral medicine which she was not a happy camper about. The oral medicine went down no problem and she seemed to be happy with it, but those shots were not easy. Poor little girl cried when she got them but shortly after stopped which was a good thing. Once we put her in the car seat she passed out and slept for a while.

On a happier note with the doctor she is very advanced for her age. She is already doing things that a four month old baby would be doing and Dr. Sipher was very pleased to find out that Aubrey has already started to roll over. We just can't wait to see how much more she does ahead of her age group. Here are a few new pictures of our growing little girl. Enjoy!

Aubrey playing on her mat with her singing bird.
Just chillin on the boppy pillow holding her head up.
Relaxing in her swing after getting those shots at the doctors.
Tummy time is so much fun till I want on my back.

Aubrey can roll over...

Aubrey has taken it upon herself to start rolling over way before we ever thought she would. Normally a baby will start to roll over around four months but we seem to have an over achiever on our hands. Not quit two months yet and Aubrey has rolled over several times for us. Although, she is only rolling from her tummy to her back it is still quit an accomplishment in our eyes. After witnessing her do it a few times to make sure it wasn't a fluke we decided to capture it on video to share with all. Though, I have to warn you this isn't how she normally rolls over but it was very funny and cute so I thought I would post it. Now we can't wait till she can roll from her back to her tummy! Please enjoy.

Aubrey is one month!

Well it has already been a whole month since little Aubrey was born. We have had some great times and some not so great times, but I wouldn't change anything. We started off a little rough due to the fact that Aubrey wouldn't latch on to breast feed, so she wasn't gaining any weight. We met with a lactation specialist several times and after talking with her pediatrician we learned that she has a high palate. I now get to pump several times throughout the day and we bottle feed her which has become a lot easier. Randy is also able to feed her so he gets that special bonding time with her, and lucky for me he does the feedings during the middle of the night while I pump.

With us bottle feeding her, she was able to start gaining weight which is what we needed. She now weighs 8 pounds and 2 oz which is a whole pound more than her birth weight. Aubrey has come down with a small case of thrush but is on antibiotics to take care of it. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it so that makes us happy. She often doesn't sleep during the day, she likes to be awake so she doesn't miss anything. As for Randy and I we would like to take a nap but it rarely happens. When she does choose to sleep it is usually between 3-4 hours at a time. Although, during the night it's another story for us. For the most part it is between 2-3 hours but we have had a few of though nights where she will only sleep for 1-2 hours.

It is amazing to see how much she has changed since we brought her home. She makes funny faces, smiles at us and what really gets us, is all the noises she makes. She really likes to grunt especially when she is sleeping. Aubrey definitely has her own personality, and is just such a happy baby. Both Randy and I look forward to the many more months and years to come that we can share with this little girl. Here are a few pictures from Christmas and her first month.
